Whenever I claim that I can make sense of every human emotion as the result of natural selection, the first thing people ask in disbelief is for an explanation of love. This is tricky because many fail to realize that the particular kind of love they are asking about is not an emotion at all but rather a disposition, and what’s even trickier is that both definitions are used interchangeably.
We have all been baffled by the ultimate question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, no, not the one that can never be found but is answered with the number 42, but rather the simple question “Why does everything exist?” I hope to answer this simple yet seemingly bottomless question as logically yet eloquently as possible.
The question “Why?” is by far the most important and yet also the most difficult to answer; yet for some reason most people use it without truly understanding what this question is asking.
